This Privacy Policy describes how CropCircle (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our Android mobile application CropCircle (also known as Kisan Saathi / किसान साथी) (the “App”).
By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Phone number — for sign-in via one-time password (OTP)
- Profile details — name, age, language, district, state, village, farm size, and crops
- Notification preferences — when alert features are enabled
You enter district and state manually. We do not collect precise GPS location in this version of the App.
Information collected automatically
- Authentication identifiers (Firebase user ID, session tokens)
- API requests needed to load weather, mandi prices, and your profile
- Standard technical data in HTTPS requests (e.g. IP address, device type, app version) for security and operations
Stored on your device
- Sign-in tokens, onboarding status, and selected district/state
We do not collect (MVP)
- GPS / precise location
- Contacts, SMS content, or call logs
- Photos or camera access (profile photo upload is not enabled in this release)
- Payment or financial information
3. How we use your information
- Authenticate you and maintain your account
- Provide weather, mandi prices, and farmer profile features
- Personalize content for your district and state
- Improve security and reliability of the App
- Respond to support requests
We do not sell your personal information.

Production API traffic uses encrypted HTTPS at api.kraftey.com.
5. Data sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share data only with service providers under confidentiality obligations, when required by law, or to protect safety and security.
6. Data retention
We retain your information only as long as needed to provide the App, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Account deletion requests are processed within a reasonable period.
7. Security
We use HTTPS encryption, token-based authentication, and server access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
8. Your rights
Depending on applicable law (including India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023), you may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data.
Sign out or uninstall the App to remove locally stored data on your device.
9. Children’s privacy
The App is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18.
10. International transfers
Your data may be processed in India or other countries where our providers operate, with appropriate safeguards where required.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy and change the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
