CropCircle
This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how CropCircle (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our Android mobile application CropCircle (also known as Kisan Saathi / किसान साथी) (the “App”).
Your use of the App means that you agree to our collection, use, and disclosure of the information you share with us, as explained in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
- CropCircle is an independent app and is neither directly nor indirectly affiliated with any government body or organization.
- Mandi price information shown in the App is compiled from publicly available market data. Weather and farm advisories are provided for general guidance only and are not official government advisories.

2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Phone number — for sign-in via one-time password (OTP)
- Profile details — name, age, language, district, state, village, farm size, and crops
- Notification preferences — when alert features are enabled
- District and state — entered manually in the App, or detected from device location if you allow it (see below)
Location
The App may ask for location permission to show weather and mandi rates for your area. If you allow access:
- Your device’s location is used on your phone to work out your district and state
- We save and use district and state for weather, mandi prices, and personalization
- We do not store your exact GPS coordinates on our servers
Location access is optional. If you deny it, you can enter your state and district manually. You can change or update district and state anytime in your profile.
Information collected automatically
- Authentication identifiers and session tokens
- Technical data needed to load app features (for example, device type and app version)
- Standard connection data in secure requests (for example, IP address) for security and operations
Device permissions
The App may request the following permissions:
- Internet — to load weather, mandi prices, and your account
- Location (approximate or precise) — optional; to detect your district and state for local weather and mandi rates. Not required if you enter location manually.
Stored on your device
- Sign-in tokens, onboarding status, and selected district/state
We do not collect
- Contacts, SMS content, or call logs
- Photos or camera access (profile photo upload is not enabled in this release)
- Payment or financial information
3. Registration and login
To use signed-in features, you sign in with your mobile phone number using a one-time password (OTP). We use this to create your account, verify your identity, and keep you signed in securely.
4. How we use your information
- Authenticate you and maintain your account
- Provide weather, mandi prices, farm advisories, and profile features
- Personalize weather, mandi prices, and advisories for your district and state
- Improve security and reliability of the App
- Respond to support requests
We do not sell your personal information.
5. How we share your information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share data only with trusted service providers who help us run the App (for example, sign-in and hosting), when required by law, or to protect safety and security. These providers may only use your data as instructed by us.
6. Third-party services
The App uses third-party services for sign-in and to deliver app features. Those providers handle information according to their own privacy policies. We share only what is needed for each service to work.

7. Data security
We use secure connections, token-based authentication, and access controls to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
8. Data retention
We retain your information only as long as needed to provide the App, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, unless we must keep certain records by law.
9. Your rights
Depending on applicable law (including India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023), you may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data.

10. Closing your account
Email info.kraftey@gmail.com with your registered phone number to request account deletion.
After verification, we will delete or anonymize your account within 30 days. Sign out or uninstall the App to remove data stored locally on your device.
11. Children’s privacy
The App is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18.
12. International transfers
Your data may be processed in India or other countries where our service providers operate, with appropriate safeguards where required.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy and change the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
